Typically, firefighters work a 24 hour shift. This means that they have to prepare
their own meals. Usually, one member of the fire company becomes the station
cook, a respected and beloved position. Firefighters in general, love to eat ... in fact they have become "experts" at determining
what good food is. Our attempt to make this web site a resource for firefighters as well as
the public has led me to include some proven firehouse recipes that are sure to
please the toughest firefighter food critic. It is our hope that firefighters
