Firefighter-Biz is a great way to market your firefighter-owned business ... and it is absolutely FREE! As far as we know, this is the only national directory of businesses owned by firefighters, that is totally free to get listed! Being a firefighter myself, it gives me a good feeling to be able to give back to my fellow firefighter "brothers and sisters" and allow them to promote their businesses for free. How can we do this? Well, for now, we (my wife and I) are floating the cost of the web site. As it grows in popularity, we are hoping that web site sponsors and other advertisers will "pay the bills" so to speak. Web site sponsors are featured on our sponsors page and are either business/ corporation or individual/ family. Advertisers will be featured on rotating banner ads. The banner ads will be available around the first of 2009 ... sooner if their is demand.
Initially, your business will reach others in the firefighter family ... as word of the website spreads, your business will reach the general public. We will advertise the site more to the general public as more sponsors are added. Future advertising might be newspaper, radio, and t.v. The sponsor and advertisers "fees" will also benefit charities; at least 10% of them will be donated to charities.
In our opinion, the American people "love" their firefighters. It makes sense that they would choose to support a firefighter's business over one that is owned by someone who they do not know. That's what makes this directory such a great idea!
When you list your business with Firefighter-Biz, you pick the geographic area in which your listing will be seen. You can choose to list your business locally (up to 20 counties in one state) or in the Nationwide listings section.
